I’ve trained with Rachael historically for a long time but I stopped having Personal Training for a while.  Recently I felt as though I'd totally lost my fitness level, I knew that I'd lost some muscle and gained body fat & I just didn't have the motivation in the gym, I was always "starting again on Monday" I signed back up with Rachael onto to the Reach Higher Course for 6 weeks wanting to kick start my fitness and nutrition again. I knew in myself that I had increased body fat and lost muscle but the starting measurements left me feeling shocked and disappointed at just how much.  Rachael, as always never failed me and always guided me in the right direction with training, technique and nutrition, especially around my hormones.  The group Facebook live session every week of the course was invaluable and really went that extra mile to answer questions on nutrition. I'm just at the end of my 6 week course and I'm enjoying it again and eating correctly and my skin is looking so much better. I had my end measurements again and I thought to myself if I have just lost 1% body fat it's a step in the right direction, but I was shocked delighted, I'd lost 3% body fat, gained 2% muscle, I'd actually lost 0.8kg and lost 1.5 inches from my waist! Not only that but she also coached me to lift 85kg on my deadlift – never in a million years did I think I could lift that!  I feel so much better in myself and I've signed up to the next 6 week course as I love it and it's become a way of life for me. I took 6 months to put the fat on and lose the muscle so I don't expect this to be an overnight process but these results are amazing. Anyone considering PT or group training, Rachael is more than a PT, she's a mentor and a friend, she really cares, she listens to what I need and what I want to achieve and pushes me every step of the way to reach it. - Nic

  I was in training for an Ultra Marathon to run 69 miles but after lots of intense running I started having knee, hamstring and glute injuries that were impacting my training. After talking to Rach about my injuries I started having PT sessions with her to help to strengthen my muscles, particularly on the left side to ensure my strength was balanced to run without over compensating on one side.. Rach worked with me on glute strength, hamstring flexibility, core work and overall conditioning for 3 months. During this time I maximised both the training with Rach and the running training I needed to do for the Ultra and it was the most consistent run without injury in over 12 months! At the end of the 3 months I completed the goal and ran the 69 mile ultra marathon. Without the help of Rach I would not have completed the Ultra, as I would not have been able train to the level needed,  I also learned the value of activating muscles before training and stretching properly. I've just finished my first 6 weeks PT with Ascension, I've lost 10 pounds and inches from my waist, which is far more than I was expecting.  I came to Rachael for PT as I mountain bike regularly, but I needed to get fitter and lose some weight.  I'd hit a plateau just riding my bike.  When I started out I realised how unfit I actually was off the bike and my confidence had really dropped.  Rachael taught me new exercises and how to fuel my body better and it's amazing the energy you get from doing so.  She also recognised I needed some work on improving my balance and stability to improve my leg strength and take the pressure off my knees.  On completing my 6 weeks, I can already feel the difference when I'm out on my bike. When I started out I couldn't do one burpee, at 6 weeks I was doing them with a 15kg bag and it felt great, don't get me wrong they’re still evil haha! But, I know I'll learn to love them the fitter I get. I’m now feeling more confident and fitter and I've already booked my next 6 week course! When I first began training with Ascension PT I lacked in confidence and self-belief. I thought that I wouldn't gain a single thing but I signed up as some friends were so thought I'd tag along. Little did I know that I would finish the course a totally different person. I was pushed in a very positive way to test my limits and accomplish things I've always thought I couldn't do. The help, support and advice from Rachael was unlimited and always made me feel like I could do anything. At the beginning I struggled to do a lot of things because I didn't have any techniques or natural gym ability, I am also limited with a few floor exercises due to nerve damage in my back, but Rachael showed patience and expert knowledge to help me with the correct postures and movements to gain maximum results from what I was doing. By the end of the 6 weeks she had me dead lifting 105kg! I never thought I would be doing that. The motivation is never lacking with me now and I enjoy every session I have and I have so much more confidence in myself. I have met some wonderful people to work out with will and recommend joining Ascension PT to anyone that listens. - Alex

I started training with Rach & Chris in January and I can't believe how much they've changed my life. Not just in the gym but my overall mindset. I had no confidence to go in the gym and didnt really believe in myself. The first training session I was really scared but they put my mind at ease and I was really suprised at what I was managed to achieve.  I finally see I am capable of so much more than I thought! They are two of the most amazing people I know and the support I've received has been overwhelming. I have noticed a huge difference in myself and my body, I am focused and I love the fact they both encourage you even when you aren't in the gym. I could talk for ages but from the bottom of my heart they have given me the belief and freedom I needed, they've changed my life and I will always train with them! Not only have I met the best two personal trainers I've met two amazing friends. The first picture was taken at the on 4th January 2017 and the second was 18th February. I did a course of training with Rachael at Ascension because I was struggling to lose weight and wanted to drop body fat.  The course was challenging at times to stop relying so much on the scales to track progress but, at the end of the 6 weeks I have lost 2kg in weight, lost 2% body fat and increased muscle by 0.6%. I feel stronger and more confident in lifting weights as Rachael helped me work on my technique. I am now a lot more confident in using a variety of equipment. Not only that, I have made friends on the course who share the same determination in training. My fitness, strength and overall confidence has massively improved and now the course has finished I am even more confident that I can achieve my future goals. Thanks to Ascension PT. - Grace

"I completed the Reach Higher Ascension PT program as I had previously hit a plateau, but I wanted to continue the momentum I had gained from a previous course, improve my fitness levels, reduce my body fat/lose inches and correct my form in weight training.  After the 6 weeks, I succeeded in all of my goals, I lost 2% body fat and gained 1% muscle mass, as well as losing an inch off my waist! The Village Gym is a fantastic place to train and Rachael encouraged me throughout to work as hard as I could and then some. After experiencing pains in my back and shoulders, and genuinely feeling exhausted, I went to see Rachael for full body massage. She was very polite and professional.
